Investment & ESG Manager
Ludovica has developed expertise in the structuring and management of alternative investment funds in the Private Debt asset class. In this field, she has also been involved in numerous investment transactions, all focused on Italian SMEs.
Ludovica has been with Merito since its inception, contributing to its structuring and development. Previously, she was a Senior Associate at Antares AZ I fund, where she has been involved from the outset, including its establishment and development phases. Before that, she served as analyst at an Italian Private Equity investment company.
Ludovica holds a degree in Banking and Finance from Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Milan.
Founder and Managing Partner
Gabriele has matured significant entrepreneurial experience in the fundraising and management of alternative investment funds and, throughout his career, has been involved in the origination, execution and monitoring of Private Debt and Private Equity investments. In addition, Gabriele has served as board member for a number of industrial and financial companies, also listed.
Prior to founding Merito SGR in 2021, Gabriele raised and managed, as Founding Partner, the Antares AZ I fund in partnership with Azimut Libera Impresa SGR. He was also co-responsible for the Private Equity activities of an Italian bank part of a leading international financial group and Senior Advisor of a consulting firm.
Gabriele is graduated in Engineering from Politecnico of Milan and he received an MBA from SDA Bocconi.
Founder and Managing Partner
Alberto has significant experience in Private Debt and Structured Finance, gained both in a consulting entrepreneurial initiative and previously in senior roles at international banks.
Alberto was an independent director in a private Equity asset management company. Before founding Merito SGR in 2021, Alberto set up and developed Essentia Advisory, a boutique mainly active in debt advisory for transactions carried out by Private Equity funds. In Azimut Libera Impresa SGR, he managed the Antares AZ I fund as Senior Advisor from the beginning. Previously, Alberto was Head of Acquisition Finance and Head of Credit & Risk Management in leading international banks.
Alberto graduated in Economics at Bocconi University.
Partner
Fabio has developed distinctive experience in structured finance at leading international banks, where he was responsible for scouting, structuring, portfolio management and restructuring.
Fabio joined Merito in April 2022 and, previously, he was Senior Advisor at Essentia Advisory and director of the Italian branch at several international banks where, in addition to dealing with structured finance, he was in charge of the Anti-Money Laundering and Compliance functions.
Fabio graduated at Bocconi University and is Chartered Financial Analyst.
Finance Manager
Luca has professional experience as auditor of regulated financial companies, which allowed him to gain specific skills in managing administrative and financial processes of an asset management company.
Luca joined Merito in May 2022 and previously served as Senior Auditor in an international auditing firm.
Luca graduated in Economics and Business Law at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Milan.

Niccolò has developed expertise in the structuring and management of Private Debt alternative investment funds. In this field, he has also been involved in multiple investment transactions, all focused on Italian SMEs.
Niccolò joined Merito at its inception and followed its structuring and development. Previously, he was Senior Analyst at Antares AZ I and Junior Auditor at an international auditing firm.
Niccolò graduated in Accounting, Financial Management and Control from Bocconi University.
